A sacrificial hydraulic jack is cast within the pile body. Upon application of load, the pile is separated into two sections and load is applied to both sections simultaneously and reacting against each other in two directions; upward against upper skin friction and downward against base bearing and lower friction. The data acquisition to measure bi-directional applied load(Q) vs pile displacement (D).
Static Method
ASTM/D8169 (2018)
Perform static load test on deep foundation piles by constructing a kentledge blocks above the test pile (or anchored piles around the test pile) and incrementally loading the pile, with a hydraulic jack. This automation system is to record applied load (Q) vs pile displacement (D).
Static Method
ASTM/D1143 (2020)
Perform high strain pile load test (HS) on deep foundation piles to measure force (F) and velocity (V) signal to determine pile load capacity base on CASE method (1960s) and YLOAD method (2000s).
Dynamic Method
ASTM/D4945 (2012)
Perform low strain pile integrity test (LS) on deep foundation piles to determine the integrity of the pile by measuring and analysing the velocity response of the pile induced by an impact device (hand held hammer or other similar type).
Dynamic Method
ASTM/D5882 (2016)
Perform ultra sonic pile integrity test (US) on deep foundation piles to determine the integrity of the pile by emitting ultra sonic signal to evaluate pile integrity, continuity, and consistency of the pile material.
Dynamic Method
ASTM/D6760 (2016)
Perform hole profile (or shape) of a drilled bore hole (or spun pile hole) by plotting the hole profiling to verify the pile verticality (or alignment) prior to concrete placement and soil sediment thickness (or slurry cake thickness) at pile tip.
Dynamic Method
ASTM/D8232 (2018)
